"Everything was great, for years.....until it wasn't! We've been with this State Farm office, for years. Until we decided to add on our home insurance. Which turned into a nightmare overnight. At first, we added on the insurance. Then weeks later, I received a call from Cory Hall that the insurance was going to be cancelled, after one months of insurance. I was given no reason, initially. Only after asking the reason why, it was only then, that Cory Hall mentioned he would have to do more research. (???). He called back saying it was the Underwriters decision and that the home inspector saw debilitating shingles on the roof. (???) Impossible. We just purchased the house and the previous owner had replaced the roof five months prior. ($15,000) That the owner paid out of pocket, himself. So, to me, that set off a red flag. I asked Cory Hall for a picture that the inspector used as proof. I was initially sent ONE pic, that did not even look to be the color of our roof and that appeared to NOT show a debilitating roof. The new roof was black. The pic sent looked the color of our old roof, which was gray. I disputed this. Mr. Cory Hall told me he would petition the underwriters again, after I submitted the bill of receipt from the company who installed the new roof. He told me it would take 24 to 48 hours to get a response. Well, I received NO response. Nothing. I was called days later. By this time, it didn't matter. I pursued another company for auto and home insurance. I really wish this office was open and upfront as to why I was initially denied the insurance. I felt as if there were other reasons, that were not disclosed to me. I feel this way due to all the "run around" of chasing down a reason as to why the declining. Be careful with this office. If you get the run around too, regarding a cancellation. No point chasing down the reason, just move on to another insurance competitor. I felt like I was such a bother and a nuisance regarding this matter, I should have saved myself a lot of time and energy....when I initially was told that the homeowners insurance was being cancelled, I should have just immediately begun the search on cancelling them , as well, (regarding all my other insurances with this office). 👎🏼🥴🤔🧐 In response to the response: There is nothing to discuss any further on this matter. Whether the issue was ultimately underwriters or not, no one seemed to advocate for us, nor care. That fact can't be changed. I felt like a nuisance to your office and a hassle. Your happy with the results, I get it! 👍🏼 Update as of 04/25/25. I switched my insurance to Allstate and my home owner insurance was approved from their Underwriters. Now, what should I conclude from this approval? I was able to get a cheaper policy and cheaper homeowners insurance. I guess a "thank you" is due. Thank you! 👍🏼💯🤩🥳"
